This pilgrimage centres on two of India’s most sacred sites. Varanasi is one of the world’s oldest living cities, with evening Ganga Aarti and morning boat rides on the Ganges. Bodhgaya is where Siddhartha became Buddha under the Bodhi Tree. The route is short, focused, and deeply moving.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Varanasi Arrive at Varanasi Airport or railway station and transfer to your hotel. Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 2: Sunrise boat ride and Sarnath Take a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges to see the ghats waking up. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor, then drive to Sarnath to see the Dhamekh Stupa and museum. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 3: Varanasi to Bodhgaya Drive to Bodhgaya, the place of Buddha's enlightenment. Visit Mahabodhi Temple, the Bodhi Tree, and the Great Buddha Statue. Overnight in Bodhgaya.
Day 4: Bodhgaya meditation and local monasteries Spend the morning in quiet meditation near the temple. Visit Thai, Japanese, Tibetan, and Bhutanese monasteries in the afternoon. Overnight in Bodhgaya.
Day 5: Departure transfer Transfer to Gaya Airport or Varanasi Airport for your onward journey.
