What this journey covers

The Char Dham Yatra is one of Hinduism’s most important pilgrimages, taking devotees to the four sacred shrines of Uttarakhand. This twelve-day itinerary travels from Haridwar into the Garhwal Himalaya, visiting Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath with proper acclimatization and comfortable transport.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar Arrive in Haridwar and attend evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Overnight in Haridwar.
• Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot / Janki Chatti Drive into the mountains toward Yamunotri. Overnight in Barkot or Janki Chatti.
• Day 3: Yamunotri darshan Trek or take a pony to Yamunotri Temple. Return to Barkot for the night.
• Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi / Gangotri Drive through Uttarkashi toward Gangotri. Overnight near Gangotri.
• Day 5: Gangotri darshan and return Visit Gangotri Temple and the holy Bhagirathi River. Return to Uttarkashi for the night.
• Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi / Sitapur Drive toward Kedarnath base. Overnight in Guptkashi or Sitapur.
• Day 7: Kedarnath darshan Trek or take a helicopter to Kedarnath Temple. Darshan and overnight near the shrine or return to Sitapur.
• Day 8: Return from Kedarnath to Badrinath area Drive toward Badrinath with scenic Himalayan views. Overnight in Joshimath or Badrinath.
• Day 9: Badrinath darshan and Mana village Visit Badrinath Temple in the morning, then walk to Mana village, the last village before the Tibetan border. Overnight in Badrinath.
• Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag / Srinagar Begin the return drive through the Alaknanda valley. Overnight in Rudraprayag or Srinagar.
• Day 11: Drive to Haridwar / Rishikesh Continue down to the plains. Evening free in Rishikesh or Haridwar.
• Day 12: Departure transfer Transfer to Dehradun Airport or Haridwar railway station.
